The Sevastopol marine Aquarium-Museum is one of the oldest public aquariums in Europe, justly ranks among the most popular attractions of Crimea. Created during the times of the Russian Empire (1897), became the first Museum of its kind in the state. The creation of the Museum in the Crimea
The idea of establishing a large-scale aquarium filed the first SBS Director – academician A. O. Kovalevsky.
